It's that time again... BlizzCon. Well, tickets are going on sale. I really wanna go but I don't wanna go if no one I know is going or has a room. So here's my question: Anyone going? Let me know!

I meant to post this earlier but I was lazy. I'm in Tucson for four days and I wanna hang out and see people... not just sit around. So anyone wanna do anything? I'm free on Thursday and Saturday! Text me or call me if you wanna do stuff! Also, 4th Avenue Street Fair is going on!

I know I don't post a lot.. but had to with this one. I know a few of my friends here are on the wow_ladies community so they know what I'm talking about here. But wow, the people in that community get worked up over the dumbest little things. Earlier today there was a 302 comment post about a girl who was complaining that people in her guild said "that's gay" and she wanted to make it a more pleasant experience. I really wanna just yell "that's gay!" to everyone now. I'm really never offended by stuff but these people are offended if you even breathe wrong!

Been bored with WoW lately... well, I think it's more my server and guild. After the expansion, some of em decided to spec into their healing specs instead of what they normally were - tanks and dps. So I decided to go tank for a day... I loved it. But I missed healing the most and went back. Getting a guild run when I am on is a pain. I work late so when I come on, everyone has done everything already or no one is on to do something... even puging isn't an option when they don't want a healer. Okay... now that I've gotten that out... I'm gonna be playing less on Perenolde, just to take a break really. See how that works out.

Other than that, got a new video card and 2 GB more of RAM. Already running nicer.

That's my twitter. Mostly because I update and text a lot on my phone... and I have unlimited texting on my phone. Probably a lot of dumb things are gonna be put up there, but should be fun.

Today is my birthday but still trying to figure out something to do. Work later tonight but off on the 5th.

In Tucson for the weekend, I have no money so it has to be free. I just wanna hang out with people really.

Sadly, nothing new yet. No time to. Just a quick status update thingie.

Cloak and tabard still need to be made but waiting until Mom and Brother wake up and go to work to do that so I don't bother anyone trying to sleep with the sewing machine. Still need to armor up the shirt and pants but I've made templates for both. I just need to paint them. Decided not to go with additional arm armor because it cut the already low movement I had in half. Oh well, that's why I got this gray shirt just in case. Finished the shield too. I am quite pleased with how it turned out.

Lots need painting still. Spray paint here and if anything runs over... later today in Mesa. Need lots of detail painting. We'll see how that works out today. Need to pack too. I feel like I'm missing something important. Hmmm...

Last few days have been "meh" to me. So much to do.

Good Things:

1. Finished Gavel of Naaru Blessings. Just need to paint it now.
2. Made my libram. Just need to get/make straps so I can carry it on a belt.
3. Finished boot covers, test walked... they are great. Much improved from the prototype of the first. Now to paint.
4. Found out I had a ton of black fabric so I can take the stuff I bought back to WalMart.

Bad Things:

1. Still need to make tabard, cloak, shoulders (oh god... dreading these) and armor up the pants and shirt I bought.
2. Painting. Ugh. So much and I still need to get green and black. And get a clear coat for the armor.
3. Shield. Oh noes... I wish I had something simple... no, had to get the Light-Bearer's.
4. The bottle of spirit gum I bought? It will not open. I tried almost everything (using a clamp/wrench is next) and nothing. Might have to cut it open to get to it.

EDIT 1: One shoulder done. Ugh.. That was a lot of work. Just need to add details to the second and then edge them. Working on a belt in the meantime so I'm not burnt out on the shoulders.

EDIT 2: Belt done! Woot! Now to get back to the shoulders.

EDIT 3: Shoulders done. Shield next. Might sleep. I'm not sure if it would help or hinder me at this point.

Yes, still awake. I slacked a little but finally got off my ass and worked on the shoe portion. I'm kinda working off what might be good. I made a prototype with cardboard and duct tape over my awesome shark shoes. it was a somewhat success. I am able to walk comfortably with the giant leg armor and the shoe prototype. I was even able to get all three on without help.

Things to improve on:

1. The back drags when I step down. This is probably because it's only sitting on the shoes.
2. Tighten opening. It was way too huge for the leg piece and my legs in general.
3. Get it to insert into the leg piece that way they kinda meld together.

Working on my leg plates... well, upper portions of Xerak's boots today and yesterday. They are a pain. So much more work than the arms. Almost done though. Just edging with hot glue and they'll be ready for painting. Then I'll be working on the feet. I'll post pics of the legs when done later tonight!

EDIT: While finishing the edging, I got my ears in the mail! Woot! Also, pics!

Getting ready for Blizzcon... all my stuff outside my house and work have been canceled. Working on the armor right now. First up, arms and hands. Tried working out the chest but got frustrated and moved on. Hot glue and cardboard is fun... lots of cutting and stuff. glad I found my box cutter.

EDIT: Got the first layer on both and edged it. My index finger and thumb have blisters forming, woot. Also, almost burned my thumb on the left hand.

EDIT 2: Second layer done. Working on how to implement the third layer and the gems. One more finger almost burnt in process.

EDIT 3: Complete! Pics under the cut! Now to paint!

As some of you know, I am an engineer in WoW... well, my main is anyway. I get freaking awesome goggles as a result. So since I get those and I'm going to Blizzcon (going whether I have a ticket or not. I'll cosplay outside), I thought I would check into goggles. Most weren't what I was looking for and then by just searching around I found this guy in England who custom made goggles... even the little visor pieces Anyway, after about a month of going back and forth with screenshots and confirming what we were doing and then his computer and milling machine broke... they were made yesterday. They're gonna get to me just in time for Blizzcon (I like the pressure, really). He also took pics and sent them to me so I'm so excited... here they are. Under the cut anyway...

Hey, anyone who's done cosplay armor.. what do you suggest I make a full suit of armor out of? I was gonna do shelack or however its spelled and wool felt but the person who was supposed to help me with it never got back to me.

Mom got me Dead Like Me season 2, a WoW Paladin shirt, new awesome shoes, candy, a case for my Guitar Hero controllers and a Dirty Shame (NC-17 version not the lame neuter version). I always think I am forgetting something.. hm.

I should get into the habit of posting... oh well. At least I read and comment still. So... a rundown of what went down!

Parties:

So.. Sam's birthday party as awesome. I was unfortunately cast as Zatanna who I didn't really know the character for and I'm not too overly fond of DC characters anyway. Ben won the murder mystery by being the one who tried to kill Captain America. The cake was awesome and wow, sugary. o.o

On the 3rd I saw Enchanted with Lightside Ashley. It was awesome, so cute. And then on the 4th (my actual birthday) Ashley had preview tickets for The Golden Compass so we invited Sam and Sam invited Angela to see it. And while we were killing time in the mall I got a call from Adecco saying that my assignment was up and they couldn't get me a new job right away. So woo, unemployment for my birthday! I really liked the Golden Compass.. and afterwards we went to appetizers and drinks at Applebees.

My party was Wii/PS2 music video games. The night started out with trying to find a cake at Food City but between the cake that looked like it had been peed on and the Virgin Mary cake, we decided to go to Bashas and grab another one.. which had cherries, gross. We got back in time to start up with a few matches of Naruto on the Wii (woo 4 player goodness) and Karaoke Revolution. Then it devolved into a night of Ben playing GH in the living room and Guppy and Darkside Ashley playing GH3 in Sam's room. It was fun though, stayed up late playing games.

Then the next weekend we had a Viking party. This was originally going to be my party but I was kinda "eh" to it being mine. But a Christmas one was good too. Lots of random pot luck foods were brought and yay for the weird foods and sandwiches from Trader Joes. So good. And Wassail (sp?) is great. Especially with the added mead. We also had a viking armor contest. Dressing up Guppy like Helga the Viking (who won) was amazing. Craig was the evil pope viking? It was amazing. Sam posted pics!

And our last party was Angela's Old Tyme Christmas TV Special Party. We did Secret Santa stuff which wasn't a secret afterwards. Also went to Mimi's Cafe for a sit-down dinner. So good, had a great waitress too. So we exchanged presents... Guppy, I love the My Little Goth Pony and Punk Pony ya gave me. And Angela learned that Christmas was about herself. The day after Sam and I wandered Bookman's where he got me American Gods because I had never read a Gaiman book before. We also wandered the Over-Priced R-Galaxy and then Heroes and Villains where they did not have Astounding Wolfman 3 or 4, or the Marvel Holiday Special but they did have World of Warcraft 2! After that it was a weekend at Ashley's playing WoW and hanging out.

Jobs:

In the days after my semi-unemployment I called Adecco and they wanna give me a job in a mail order warehouse (which I've heard nothing but bad about them) or working in a school cafeteria. Ugh. No. I'm not desperate yet. I get told to call back every week to see. I called the next week... still nothing and I wasn't put into the "available system" yet. Now I am... hopefully. But knowing Adecco, probably not. I also had 2 job interviews that I was -very- hopeful for. The first was the front desk at a Marriott next to TJ's work. Someone else was given the job. The other I really wanted - Asst. Manager at the Vans shoes/skate shop in the Tucson Mall. They decided to promote within the company. So now I'm looking again and getting emo about it. Got an appointment with Convergys tomorrow for a call center job. I do not wanna do a call center but I think I may have to. At least they pay well.

WoW:

Got to 67 last night. Woot. Working on Nagrand and the last of my Terokkar quests today. Did Caverns of Time and got myself the Red Santa Hat. Xerak is currently wearing it. Wow, people in CoT as humans are funny. Erebus is ugly and Xerak is a black man. And Ashley, we need to level our Draenei more. I'll play with you whenever.

Alright, that's it! That I can think of... Oh yeah, in before tl;dr.

Yes, that's right.. I finally got a character in WoW to level 60. It seems crazy to me cause I get distracted a lot and do other things but just the right friends, people/guild and class I suppose. Now to get 10 more levels by the end of the year. That's my goal. In between that, I'll be working on Troll Jesus.
